I'm running a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 2x16GB CL32 6400MHz G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB ram on an Asus TUF B650M Plus motherboard. The RAM defaults to 4800MHz and when I tried to overclock it to 6400MHz, my PC crashed and I had to manually reset the BIOS. Now it's back to 4800MHz. I've read that the CPU performs better at CL30 and 6000MHz. Is it safe for me to set the RAM speed from 4800MHz to 6000MHz without running into issues?

Check if your RAM has multiple profiles. Sometimes, modules rated over 6000MHz have additional profiles for lower speeds like 6000MHz. If that's the case, you can try using that. Otherwise, try enabling the 6400MHz profile and then manually adjust it down to 6000MHz. Keep in mind that RAM speeds above 4800MHz might need slightly higher voltage to work reliably, so just switching from the base 4800 profile to 6000MHz might not work perfectly.
So, you mean I should set it to the 6400 profile and then lower it to 6000MHz? Would that actually be better than sticking with 4800MHz, even with the CL32 rating?
