I'm considering an upgrade and wanted to know if it's worth spending an extra 150€ for a 14700K paired with a DDR4 Intel board. I currently have a 5600X and a B450 motherboard, and I got a great deal on the 5600X. Selling my current setup would allow me to afford the new CPU and board. Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Honestly, you can't imagine how much of a difference it can make! Just curious, what GPU do you have?
I made a similar switch from an R7 5700X to the i5 14600KF with a B760 DDR4, and it was significant, especially in CPU-heavy games. While you can't overclock on that board, you can still tweak settings in the BIOS for better performance. If you're gaming at 1080p like me, the i5 will really shine, especially with higher-end GPUs.
Switching to a B760 for a K series CPU isn't ideal. The B760 doesn’t have the overclocking features to fully utilize an unlocked CPU like the 14700K. Have you thought about getting a 5700X3D instead? That would work better with your current B450. The 5600X is also a solid option.
