I'm looking for a recommendation for a really durable MP3 player for my mom. She has gone through about 12 of them in a year, and I'm not sure how! Sometimes the screens break, and other times it's the aux or power cables. She loves listening to music LOUD, so it needs to be tough. Any suggestions for something that won't break easily? Note: she's not a fan of smartphones and prefers simple devices, so if you have any ideas, I'm all ears!

Have you checked out some rugged MP3 players? I know Amazon has a lot of Android-based devices that don’t have SIM slots or cameras, which might be perfect for your mom. Some are designed for more rugged use, especially for people in active jobs like construction.
Just to clarify, are you looking for an MP3 player? Because an MP3 is just the file type. If you're open to it, I'd suggest getting her a basic smartphone instead. They're really affordable and can hold tons of music.
Thanks for clarifying, I meant MP3 player! I appreciate the suggestion, but my mom isn't into smartphones and thinks they mess with people’s brains. That's why she goes through so many MP3 players!

Good idea! But just so you know, my mom isn't careful; she drops her MP3 players all the time, sometimes even in the concrete mix! If you have more recommendations, I'd love to hear them!
