Is the RTX 5070 Ti Worth the Extra Cost Compared to the RTX 5070?

I'm looking into purchasing a graphics card and I'm trying to decide between the RTX 5070 and the RTX 5070 Ti, especially given the prices I'm seeing in Poland, which are usually higher than US pricing. The RTX 5070 is listed at around 2500 PLN (about $690) but I'm seeing it sell for 2700-2900 PLN ($750 - $800). On the other hand, the RTX 5070 Ti has an MSRP of 3900 PLN ($1080) but I managed to order one for 3600 PLN ($1000). Currently, the Ti's price in stores is climbing to between $1110 and $1220. Is the $250 (approximately 33%) difference justifiable? I'm not sure if I'll fully utilize the extra power. My goal is to have a GPU that lasts for the next 5 years, similar to my current GTX 1060 which I've had for almost a decade. I'm focused on 2K gaming, and I don't need to run fancy features such as ray tracing or 4K at 60fps. So, which one should I go for? Should I stick with my order for the 5070 Ti or switch to the non-Ti version?

Considering those prices, I'd say you should lean towards the 9070 XT. The value for performance is more balanced, and it'll grant you a great experience for your gaming needs without that hefty price tag of the Ti.

Have you thought about the RX 9070 XT? It's another option that might fit your needs. The pricing is somewhat in between the RTX 5070 and the 5070 Ti. AMD cards can act better on raster performance, plus for local inference, they are quite capable. Of course, Nvidia's DLSS and ray tracing feature are impressive too, so weigh your options.

Yeah, I’ve been looking at the 9070 XT as well. Seems like a good middle ground, but I hear Nvidia still pulls ahead in a lot of ray tracing scenarios.

Whoa, those prices are wild! Yes, the 5070 Ti is now at around $1000, which is steep. I've been eyeing desktop builds too since my laptop just kicked the bucket! Really bad timing, right? If you don't need the extreme power, maybe consider saving some cash and go with the 5070.

Totally agree! If you're not planning on gaming at the highest settings or resolutions, the 5070 could serve you well without breaking the bank.

Yeah, it seems like a lot just for a bit of extra performance, especially if you’re fine with 2K gaming.
