I'm working at a Managed Service Provider (MSP) and for this quarter, I'm tasked with exploring and implementing an AI tool that can enhance our workflow and productivity. I'm curious about what specific AI tools you've been incorporating into your daily operations, beyond just the usual options like ChatGPT and Google Gemini. What has worked for you?

I set up ChatGPT with Teams using Power Automate, which saved us a ton of time! Now, our ticket summaries are created automatically, and the interns have finally stopped asking if they can just reboot everything.
Using AI can be hit or miss. Sometimes it helps find documentation faster than our usual searches, but when it comes to more complex queries, it often gets things wrong.
We've restricted generative AI at our office except for Microsoft Copilot. It’s the only one we trust for our projects.
Given that you're at an MSP, your AI needs might differ from a typical office. Testing various AI tools could prove beneficial. We've occasionally used Copilot for creating onboarding guides or simplifying processes during our large client integrations, and it’s been quite effective.
Before jumping into using AI, make sure to define the problems you're facing. Pinpoint where time is lost and identify the repetitive tasks you want AI to handle. For us, it's mainly using Copilot for quickly generating guides or troubleshooting. Beyond that, AI hasn’t really integrated into our other processes yet.

I get that! We're mostly okay with it since it writes decent code and helps non-techy folks make decisions.
