I recently purchased an RTX 5070 (MSI Gaming Trio), but it's not appearing in the device manager. So far, I've tried a few troubleshooting steps:
- Updated the BIOS
- Used DDU to remove existing drivers
- Ensured Windows 11 is up to date
- Confirmed that external graphics cards are enabled in the BIOS
- Downloaded the latest drivers, but I can't install them since the GPU isn't detected
- Reseated the card and all the cables multiple times
For context, here are my system specs:
- OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro
- Version: 10.0.26200 Build 26200
- Manufacturer: ASRock
- Model: B850 Steel Legend WiFi
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core
- BIOS Version: 4.03 (12/11/2025)
- RAM: 32.0 GB
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you checked if the monitor is connected directly to the GPU? If it's connected to the motherboard, it won't detect the GPU. It might be worth trying to connect your monitor to the RTX 5070 once it’s detected.

I tried connecting it to the GPU, but I wasn't getting any display. I needed it to recognize the card first, so I’ve been using the onboard connections.
