I'm really impressed with the gameplay recording feature on the Xbox Series X/S and I'm hoping to find a similar solution for my PC. I want to be able to record the last few seconds of my gameplay with just the push of a button, especially if it can be done using a controller. I've heard that it might be possible with NVIDIA software, but I'd love to know if there are other options available. Has anyone figured out how to do something like this?

You should definitely check out NVIDIA Shadowplay; it works great for what you want. I use it all the time to capture highlights seamlessly. Just set it up and you’ll be good to go!
Steam actually has built-in functionality for this now! You can bind specific buttons on your controller to save clips or take screenshots, which makes it super convenient.
Isn't the Xbox Game Bar (Win + G) supposed to do this too? Or has it been removed from newer versions of Windows? It used to be very intuitive on Windows 10.
You can enable this through the Windows settings as well, although I can’t recall the exact name right now. Someone mentioned it might be part of the game bar.
