I'm dealing with a frustrating problem on my HP Envy x360 (15m-ds0011dx). Even after I shut it down, it randomly turns back on without me doing anything. The power light remains on, which is concerning. I've tried several fixes including updating the BIOS, drivers, and Windows. I also disabled fast startup and prevented devices from waking it up. Running the system file checker showed no issues, but the problem has only gotten worse since I upgraded to Windows 11 last September. Now, shutting down seems ineffective, and I end up putting the laptop into sleep mode instead. Any advice on what I can do next?

It sounds like you might be running into a known issue with a Windows Update. A lot of users have reported similar problems after an update. You could check for any recent updates and see if you can uninstall one that might be causing this problem. I found a video that could be helpful—perhaps it might point you in the right direction!
Have you checked if your power button might be sticky or not fully releasing? Sometimes a physical issue could cause the laptop to turn on unexpectedly. It’s worth inspecting that! Also, since you’ve already ruled out fast boot in Windows, double-check the BIOS settings for any related options that might be affecting this.
The power button seems fine and doesn't feel sticky. I did disable fast boot, but it didn’t seem to do anything. Still looking for more solutions.

This really helped! I managed to resolve the issue by uninstalling a different update, even though it wasn’t the one I thought was problematic. Looks like there are multiple updates that can cause this glitch. Thanks a ton!
