I recently ran into a problem while trying to install my motherboard. While I was putting in the I/O shield, I accidentally folded some of the small tabs on the motherboard. Since the board wasn't fitting correctly, I ended up pushing it down multiple times. Afterward, I read that this could potentially damage the motherboard, so I'm worried I might have caused some harm without realizing it. I've managed to install the motherboard now, but I'd like to know if there's a chance I could have damaged it during the installation process.

Yeah, if it's booting up and functioning normally, you probably haven't caused any serious damage. Just double-check everything once you've got the full system up and running.
If you don't see any visible physical damage and the motherboard is working fine, it’s likely that it’s okay. Just be sure to check it thoroughly once you finish building your PC.
