I'm currently using macOS Ventura 13.5 on my MacBook Air M1, and I'm not the best at keeping my software updated. I tend to wait as long as everything is working smoothly. I recently updated my iPad to iPadOS 26.2, and I really didn't like the changes, which made me hesitant about upgrading anything else. Now, I'm wondering if I should upgrade to the latest macOS Tahoe 26, or if it's fine for me to stay with my current version. I use my MacBook for long hours every day, so I'm curious if that makes a difference.

If you're connected to the Internet, you definitely want to stay updated. After the release of macOS Tahoe, Apple no longer provides security updates for Ventura, which is a critical reason to upgrade. It's best to be on at least macOS Sonoma (14) or Sequoia (15) for a safer experience.
It's generally a good idea to keep your devices updated to the latest supported version. This ensures you get all the latest features and security updates. You never know when an update might bring something you really need or improve performance!
Thanks for the advice! I'll consider updating my Mac soon.
Just remember, both macOS 15.7.3 and 26 are valid options right now. Do a bit of research on the specific features!

That makes sense! Does this apply to iPhones too? Or can I wait a bit longer on those?
