Hey everyone, I've recently upgraded my PC and I'm having a bit of trouble with the Wi-Fi on my new Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX motherboard. I know that a BIOS update might be necessary for better Wi-Fi performance, but I've already installed the recommended updates through the Gigabyte Control Center, except for Norton and AMD Ryzen Master (which keeps trying to reinstall). While Wi-Fi is working, the signal strength is quite weak, and I'm wondering if I still need to go through a BIOS update since I've never done one before. For context, I didn't have these problems with my previous setup, which included an Asus Strix Z270 motherboard. Thanks for any help!

It's possible the motherboard has either a Realtek or an AX210 Wi-Fi adapter. If it’s the Realtek one, you might want to consider upgrading it. On my B650M Gaming Wi-Fi, the Realtek was really unreliable, and swapping it out for an AX210 fixed all my issues. It's definitely worth looking into!
Have you made sure the Wi-Fi antenna is connected? That could make a big difference in the signal strength. Also, where's your PC located? If it's in a cramped space like a desk enclosure, that could be affecting the reception too. Also, how do other devices do on your Wi-Fi? Just trying to get a clearer picture here!
Yeah, I plugged the antenna in! My PC is actually out in the open right under my desk. Other devices seem fine—the Wi-Fi on my phone shows 390 Mbps download, but my PC only shows around 30 Mbps.

I honestly don't know which one I have, but if the Realtek adapter is causing issues, I might look into that upgrade. Thanks for the tip!
