Why Does My Computer Restart Right After Reaching the Desktop?

I've been having this frustrating issue where my computer restarts just as it reaches the desktop. I recently installed a new SSD in the top m.2 slot, which is the one that gets pretty hot, after moving my old SSD to the second slot. The old SSD has Windows installed on it, but I don't think that's causing the problem. Sometimes, when I start my PC, it restarts without fully booting up. I even got an error prompting me to check the Srt file on my E: drive, but Windows is actually on my C drive, and the E drive is my new SSD. Is that where my problem lies?

It sounds like your PC is having trouble booting up properly. When you mention it restarts right after you log in, that could indicate a software conflict or an issue with the new SSD. Have you tried checking the BIOS settings to ensure the boot order is correct? It should prioritize the SSD with Windows on it.

Yeah, checking the boot order in BIOS is a good idea. If the new SSD is set as the primary boot device, it might just be messing with the boot process. You might also want to see if you can run a system file check to see if any files got corrupted during installation.
