Hey everyone! I'm thinking about switching to Linux and I'm a bit torn between Fedora, Ubuntu, and Debian. I've decided to go with Debian, but I'm wondering if that's a good choice. I'm eager to focus on learning and building cool projects. Any advice or thoughts on this? Would really appreciate your input!

It really depends on how you plan to use your PC. If you're gaming, I'd recommend Fedora KDE. For general use, Linux Mint is an excellent choice. Each distro has its pros and cons, so you might want to experiment a bit!
You're welcome! Best of luck with your Linux journey!
Debian is top-notch, but it really depends on your setup and what you plan to do with it. The software here is stable but older, and you might need to do a bit of tinkering to get everything working. Plus, installing NVIDIA or proprietary drivers isn't super straightforward, so be ready to dive into the terminal and some documentation.
Creating bootable USB drives to explore different desktop environments like Cinnamon, Gnome, or KDE is a great start. Debian could work well for you, but I personally shifted to Fedora for a better experience. Just test a few and see what you like!
If you like gaming, you might want to consider either Kubuntu or Fedora with KDE. Kubuntu's LTS version is stable with fewer updates while Fedora offers the latest features every six months, which could sometimes disrupt your workflow. Choose based on your update comfort level!
Just a heads-up with Debian and NVIDIA drivers—it can be tricky for new users. Some old guides might lead you astray, so double-check the current version before following any instructions. You don't want to end up stuck if something breaks!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll look into trying Fedora KDE for gaming.
