Feedback on My Gaming and Streaming PC Build

I'm new to building PCs and need some guidance on my current setup for gaming and streaming. I'm including a list of components I've selected, but I'm open to suggestions for cheaper alternatives, especially for the cooler, power supply, and storage options. I want to ensure my build lasts a while without breaking the bank, considering I also need to budget for a monitor, camera, and microphone. Here are my current choices with prices:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X 3.9 GHz 6-Core Processor - $194.00
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM - $34.90
Motherboard: ASRock B850M Pro-A WiFi Micro ATX AM5 - $119.99
Memory: Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 - $307.27
Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB NVME - $299.00
Video Card: MSI GAMING OC GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB - $409.99
Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i 1000 W 80+ Platinum - $234.99
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home - $129.99

Any advice on where I can save a bit without compromising quality?

Honestly, your GPU choice might not hold up in a few years as games get more demanding. If possible, look for the 16GB version of the 5060 Ti instead before it’s gone. I have a 5060 Ti with a more power-hungry CPU, and I found a 600W PSU works perfectly fine for me. But do what fits your needs!

Do you think it makes sense to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 now, or should I wait to upgrade to the newest tech in a few years?

You might not need a 1000W power supply for your setup; a 750W or 850W would be plenty. It's good to have a bit of headroom, but don’t overdo it. And yeah, RAM prices are pretty wild right now! As for Windows, consider making a bootable USB to install it yourself instead of buying a new copy—saves some cash! Also, don't forget to pick a case that includes filters for better airflow!

I’d skip the Windows purchase if you can. Creating a bootable USB from another computer is a great way to install it for free. Regarding your power supply, getting a 750W or even an 850W should suit your needs just fine. And don’t forget to choose a case; it’s an important part of the build!

Thanks for the advice! I appreciate it; definitely need to consider the case more carefully!

Good to know about the PSU! I'll look into that!
