Hey everyone! I'm attempting to build my first PC and here are my current components:
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D - $385
- Corsair Nautilus 360 RS - $129.99
- Gigabyte B850 Gaming WiFi6 Motherboard - $179.99
- Crucial CT2K16G48C40U5 32 GB (2x16 GB) DDR5-4800 CL 40 Memory - $349.99
- Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB SSD - $299.99
- Thermal Take Toughpower GT 850W 80+ Gold Power Supply
I'm still on the hunt for a GPU. Ideally, I'm looking for something comparable to a GeForce 4070 Ti or a Radeon with similar performance. My main goal is to keep the total cost under $2000. Any advice on budget-friendly alternatives or modifications?

If gaming is your primary use, I recommend going for the RX 9070 XT. It's a solid choice and could save you money compared to the pricey options. Additionally, think about using a different brand for your SSD since Samsung can be on the higher side.
Check out some alternatives for your cooling. You can find decent air coolers for around $40 that will perform just as well as the Corsair. It's another way to save! Also, consider a DDR5-6000 kit for RAM; it'll cost you around $350 but will provide better speed than the 4800 CL40 version you're looking at.
I'm trying to keep it cheaper and avoid hitting 2k, though. Do all power supplies make noise?
When people mention RAM timings like 36-36-38-80, they refer to the latency and the speed of the memory. Lower numbers usually mean faster performance.
Switching to an air cooler could knock off around $100 from your build. As for the B650E board, it might offer better features without the extra cost for cooling, especially if you find a cheaper model!
Is it really that much better than the Nautilus? I found a decent one for $80.

I'm also planning on gaming and some programming, so I’d like to ensure good performance.
