Hey everyone! I'm having an issue with my PC shutting down unexpectedly after several hours of gaming, particularly when playing FiveM. Initially, I thought it might be an overheating problem, as both my CPU and GPU temps were hitting 60-90°C. I checked and reapplied thermal paste, and now the CPU stays around 72°C, which is more manageable. However, the shutdowns continue, making me think it could be the power supply unit (PSU) at fault. After about six hours of play, my PC just powers off, like the electricity was cut. After a brief interval, I can power it back on, but it happens again. Does anyone have insights into what might be causing this issue or how I might troubleshoot it further?

Your 750W PSU should theoretically handle your setup, but it might not be able to cope with transient spikes during gameplay, especially on an AMD platform. It could also be an issue with power distribution from the motherboard. If you can borrow an 800 or 850W PSU from a friend to test that out, it would be ideal. Best of luck! 😊
Are those transient spikes something that can be resolved? I never had issues with Cyberpunk, but FiveM seems problematic. I'm considering reaching out to Gigabyte for advice on whether a replacement PSU could help since funds are tight for me as a student. I'll keep you updated!
