I'm trying to decide between two graphics cards for my PC build on a tight budget. Should I go for the RTX 5060 8GB or the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB? I initially wanted to aim for an RTX 5070, but it's priced over $820, which is way too much for me right now. I primarily play CS2 at 1280x960 on low settings, and for Full HD, I enjoy games like PUBG, Warzone, Valorant, and some co-op games with friends. My main focus, though, is really on CS2.

If you’re looking strictly at performance, the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is the better choice. However, for competitive games where CPU performance is critical to maximizing frames per second, you might not see a huge difference. In those cases, even the RTX 5060 could perform similarly because your CPU might limit the graphics card's output. Think about what games you play more and how they might utilize the GPU.

Keep in mind that CS2 is known for being CPU-bound, so the differences between these cards might not matter much for that game alone. Other titles could see a benefit from the 5060 Ti, but really assess what games you’ll be playing the most and if they’ll utilize the better graphics card.

I really wouldn't recommend getting the RTX 5060 Ti for $550; that seems overpriced to me. You should think about a GPU that can efficiently handle 1080p gaming since you're currently at 1920x960. Even the RTX 5050 8GB would work great for that resolution. You might save some cash and upgrade your setup later, especially if you're considering a new monitor.

I just spotted an RTX 5070 for only $550! You might want to check it out if you haven't already. It could give you a better bang for your buck. Here's the link: [RTX 5070](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/P89nTW/pny-oc-geforce-rtx-5070-12-gb-video-card-vcg507012tfxpb1-o).

You're probably referring to the 5070 Ti, not the standard one. Honestly, for what you're playing at 1920x960, even an RTX 5050 would be sufficient if you max out the settings. If you're budget-conscious, I would recommend leaning towards the 5060 since it offers good value for your needs.

Oh wow, you’re right! In Ukraine, that 5070 sells for around $550, which can be a bit of a steal!
