Looking for an Easy Cloud Monitoring Tool

Hey everyone,

I'm on the hunt for a simple cloud monitoring solution for my company. We're a team of about 15, using both AWS and Azure. My teammate and I currently check Azure Application Insights daily and share updates in Slack if everything looks good or if we spot any issues, along with dashboard screenshots. Meanwhile, another colleague monitors AWS. This can take us around 30 minutes every day, even on weekends, and it's pretty monotonous work.

Is there a straightforward and cost-effective tool that can automate these checks? We'd still like to jump in if something major crops up. Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out Site24x7 for your Azure monitoring. It allows you to set up various alerts via email, SMS, or webhooks, which could really save you some time. The pricing is pretty reasonable, but just keep in mind that it can get a bit pricey if you need extensive log retention. Also, I recommend Statusgator for monitoring other cloud applications; it's user-friendly!

I've used Site24x7 before and it's great! It did get a little costly for me, but I can't fault it as a service.

Sounds good! Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely look into it. Ideally, we want a tool that can handle both AWS and Azure logs.

Before you jump into a new tool, do you know what exactly you’re looking for in terms of logs? You could potentially use KQL queries to gather specific log messages or HTTP codes and aggregate them all in one go, which could make monitoring simpler.

Have you considered Zabbix? It's a solid option for monitoring. You might find it has the features you need.

Thanks! I’ll take a look at Zabbix too.

Centreon has connectors for several cloud services, but I should warn you that it might not be the simplest solution. If you have some familiarity with Nagios, you might find it easier to navigate.
