How Can I Reset My Old iPhone 13 If I Can’t Remember the Passcode or Apple ID?

I found my old iPhone 13 while cleaning out storage. It's the only iPhone I've ever owned, and after a year of not liking iOS, I switched back to Android and forgot about it. Now, I can't remember the passcode or my Apple ID credentials, and I want to pass the phone on to a family member. Is there any possibility of resetting it using a PC, or is it just useless at this point? Also, just to clarify, I assure you it's definitely my phone. If I can't unlock it, I'll recycle it properly instead of letting it gather dust.

It really sucks to hear about people forgetting their sign-in info, but you might want to check with technical support. They often have ways to help you recover access, but it all hinges on your Apple ID details being somewhat accessible first.

People, please, don’t judge! Not everyone’s as organized with their accounts. I still have an iPhone 11! But for real, if you can’t get in, recycling might be the best bet.

Definitely don’t let it sit there forever! If you can’t unlock it, make plans to dispose of it. But if all else fails, try reaching out to Apple's support team—you might get lucky!

Unfortunately, if you can’t remember your Apple ID or passcode, you’re going to hit a wall. The first step is to recover the Apple ID it’s logged into. If you can manage that, you can then do a DFU restore through your computer to reset it. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I’ll look into recovering the Apple ID first.
