I set up a Google account for my son, mainly so he could have a Fortnite account and his own YouTube channel. Unfortunately, it's been a real challenge. We share the same device, and now it automatically logs him in instead of me, which is super frustrating. I've tried navigating the help centers for both YouTube and Google, but they're not user-friendly at all. I'm really exhausted from trying to figure this out. If anyone knows how to fix this or where I can find a simple explanation, I'd really appreciate it!

If you’re using a computer, try opening an incognito window. That will let you log into your account without automatically switching to his. It’s a quick fix!
If you're on YouTube, just click on the user icon (either yours or his) and select 'Switch Account'. It’s usually at the bottom right if you’re on an iPhone. That should help you log back into your account!
Just a heads-up, kids need to be at least 13 to have a YouTube channel. Make sure you're in control of the Gmail account; log in to check the settings and consider changing the password and enabling two-factor authentication as a precaution.
Honestly, sharing the same device can lead to these issues. You might want to look into getting him a cheap phone with parental controls set up. That way, you can avoid these login headaches.
Never share a phone for this stuff! A tablet or a separate phone with Family Link installed could save you a lot of trouble. Just log in with his details, and you should be good!

Good advice! Also, have you considered using an email alias? It might limit his access and you can simply disable it if needed.
