I'm looking for a way to prevent specific family members, particularly my 14-year-old sister, from turning on Lost iPhone mode on my device. She's been using the Find My Phone feature to annoy me when I don't respond quickly, and she often gets mad and puts my phone in Lost Mode. We're both in an Apple family, with her account set as a child account, and I'll be turning 18 soon, which I hope might help. I know I can turn off Lost Mode after she enables it, but I want to prevent it from happening in the first place. I've heard there's a way to disable Lost Mode altogether, but I'd like to keep the stolen device protection enabled without compromising my security settings. I'm currently using an iPhone 15 Pro with iOS version 26.2. Any advice?

As far as I know, family members can't put someone's iPhone into Lost Mode unless you're sharing the same Apple account. Make sure you’re not sharing your account with her or anyone else. It’s also unlikely for Lost Mode to activate automatically unless a specific setting is enabled. Changing your password might help just to be safe!
I’ve had similar issues! If she's a minor account, there might be ways to limit what she can do with your phone. You can check in your Family Sharing settings to see if there are specific limitations you can set for her.
You’re correct! Normally, a family member shouldn’t be able to enable Lost Mode on someone else's device without knowing their account password. The sound alerts don’t have the same restrictions, though. Just keep an eye on the settings and maybe consider updating your security.

Good to know! I didn’t think it could be done without sharing accounts. I’ll definitely update my password.
