I'm planning to switch from Windows 11 to using KDE Plasma 6, but I'm a bit lost on which Linux distribution would be the best fit for me. I've dabbled with Linux Mint in the past and have quite a bit of experience with Plasma because of my Steam Deck. My main needs for a daily driver include video editing, light indie gaming, retro emulation, and game development with Godot.
Also, if anyone has good guides for a specific distro alongside using Plasma 6, I'd really appreciate the pointers!

I second that! CachyOS has been a breeze for me as a total newbie. The hello app makes things easy to understand, and I've found it really user-friendly while I learn to customize it.
I’d recommend trying CachyOS. It’s got a fantastic KDE 6 setup right out of the box. Just choose it during installation, and then use the hello app you'll see on first boot to install a gaming meta package, which is super handy.
If you're looking for alternatives, I’d suggest Tuxedo OS or PikaOS too. Tuxedo is like Mint but with a constant KDE update cadence. PikaOS has an apt package manager, like Mint, which might be easier for you to start with.
Fedora/Nobara and Debian are also solid options. If you're okay with a bit of setup, Nobara’s fast and doesn’t have the quirks of Arch. You might find them stable enough during your transition.
