I just built a new PC in an O11 Mini V2 case and really want it to be as quiet as possible. I chose the Be Quiet Pure Power 13M because of its zero RPM mode, but occasionally, the temperature reaches a level that causes the fan to kick in, and it can get quite loud for about 5 minutes. I'm looking for suggestions on how to keep the PSU cooler, recommendations for semi-passive PSUs with a higher zero RPM threshold, or any fully active PSUs with quiet fans (like around 400 RPM) that I can control.

I use the RM850x, which has a fan override knob. I keep it at the lowest setting so the fan runs quietly all the time. This way, it never heats up enough to kick the fan into high gear like you’re experiencing. Just a tip: with the standard PSU mounting (fans facing down), heat can collect inside since there's no opening on the other side, causing the fan to run.
Have you thought about turning off the zero RPM mode? That might help with the noise issue.
I don't think my PSU allows for that adjustment.

I use open-back headphones, so I hear every little sound. How sure are you that it’s silent on the lowest fan speed?
