I've been gaming on my PC for about 5 years now, and it's starting to feel a bit sluggish. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm not sure if I should upgrade some parts or just invest in a completely new system. Here's what I currently have:
- Motherboard: MSI H510M-A Pro
- Processor: Intel i7-12700F
- Graphics Card: Nvidia RTX 4060
- Storage: Kingston SSD SNV2S1000G
If I missed anything important, please let me know! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Before diving into upgrades, try using HWInfo64 to monitor your PC's performance. It can help identify if any components are maxing out, or if something is overheating. It's unusual for your setup to slow down that much, but it could be due to increasing game demands. Also, checking the health of your SSD using a tool like CrystalDiskInfo can give you insights.
How much RAM do you have? I've got a 12700F with a 3070, and it runs smoothly without any significant slowdowns. If you're mainly playing demanding games like Cod and Assetto Corsa, make sure your RAM isn't a bottleneck. You mentioned having 16GB, but seeing 15.8GB available could just mean some of it is reserved for system use. Keep an eye on your performance mainly during these games.
I’ve got 16GB available too, and I mostly play those graphic-intensive games.
Thanks! I’ll check that out.
