I recently purchased a new SD card after dealing with a fake one. I've been running a test on the new card, and I've written 500 GB of data so far. The test reports show that I have only 100 KB reading defective, while the remaining 500 GB seems fine. However, the software indicates that it may still be defective. My previous card had a much worse performance, with only 20 GB working out of 1 TB. Can anyone provide insight on whether my current card is okay?

It sounds like your card might be counterfeit. I suggest you fill it up to about 75% and see how it performs under heavier use. I once had a USB that seemed fine until it was filled to capacity; then the issues started showing up.
Consider running a different tool like Validrive to get a second opinion on the card's condition. Just make sure to wait until it prompts you to insert the drive and check the results.
Only having 100 KB defective out of 500 GB suggests that your card is likely genuine, though it could still be of subpar quality. Make sure you're buying reputable brand cards and that your USB reader is compatible with MicroSDXC.
