I'm taking an online exam via PearsonVue on my Mac, and I'm having issues with Finder. Even when I try to force quit it using Command + Option + Esc, it still shows up in the menu. I also tried using the terminal command 'killall Finder', but it hasn't worked either. Should I be worried that this could pose a problem for my exam?

Make sure to run a system test before your exam; you can find the guidance on PearsonVue's website. They have resources specifically for Microsoft OnVUE online testing. It can help avoid any surprises during your actual exam.
It's worth noting that if you're in a pinch with trying to kill Finder, you might want to consider switching to a Windows machine for the test. The issues you're having with Finder could just complicate things further during your exam.
Honestly, why are you trying to force quit Finder? If you do manage to get it to quit, it could crash your whole desktop environment! Just keep in mind that you might still see that dot next to Finder on the dock, but the exam proctor should understand that it's just a Mac thing.
I totally understand the frustration with the Finder dot. A right-click on the Finder icon can show you which windows are open, and that's usually enough to satisfy any exam requirements. The proctor has likely seen this issue before.

I get it, it's like trying to stop your car while the pedal is to the floor! Just hope that the proctor doesn't mind the dot—maybe they'll know about macOS quirks.
