I was using my PC just fine yesterday, but while I was in the shower last night, it completely froze. When I returned, I had to turn it off using the power button. Now, every time I try to turn it on, the case lights come on, but there's a CPU light on the motherboard indicating a problem. It won't boot at all, even though I've made sure everything is seated correctly. I recently applied fresh thermal paste, and I've installed a brand new power supply and cable.

Sounds like you’ve done a lot already! If you're still not getting to BIOS and no video output, it might be a sign that the motherboard or CPU could be having issues. Did you change anything else recently?
Have you tried this? Turn off the PSU, then spam the power button 10-15 times to help release any buildup on the motherboard. After that, leave it for about 5 minutes before turning it back on. It might just do the trick!
Computers can be pretty sensitive, especially when it comes to heat. Make sure you properly reseated the CPU and heat sink, and check that everything is tight. Are you getting any video signal at all?
