Radeon Software Resetting for Better Game Performance?

I've been having this ongoing issue where every time I want to play a game, I have to reset the Radeon software to factory settings just to get decent performance out of my graphics card. I initially built my computer a few years back with a Radeon RX 560 (4GB). After several weeks, I noticed a drop in performance. The only fix was to reset the Radeon software each time. Now I've upgraded to a Radeon RX 580 (8GB), installed the latest drivers, but the same performance issue persists. I get better performance only right after resetting the software, and that improvement disappears after I turn off or restart my PC. I've tried various versions of the drivers but no luck. Here are the specs of my setup: Intel Core i5 7500 processor, Asrock H270 Pro4 motherboard, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and I'm using Windows 10 (64-bit). Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Have you looked into the Nimez (R.ID) drivers? Some users have found them to work better with older cards. Just know that they’re not officially supported, so use them at your own risk!

Wait, should I really be using drivers not meant for my video card? That seems risky!

Your RX 560 is quite an old card and likely doesn't receive support in the latest Radeon software. It might be better to try using older driver versions that are compatible with your card instead of the current software. Consider upgrading your graphics card if you're looking for consistent performance without these resets.

I've tried that already with no improvement; I really want to find a solid solution.
