I'm looking for affordable ways to increase my PC's speed since I'm experiencing some lag while playing games like Arma Reforger on ultra settings. I don't think the GPU is the problem—it's an RTX 5060 OC with low temperature and usage. My CPU is an i5 10400F, which doesn't spike in single cores but hits 100% usage intermittently. I have 16GB of mixed RAM (2x8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro and 2x4GB Corsair Vengeance LPX) and a solid PSU. I have already enabled XMP and adjusted some performance settings in the BIOS. Are there specific BIOS tweaks or budget-friendly upgrades I can make to improve my performance?

If you're looking for cheaper options, starting with lowering your game settings instead of keeping everything on ultra could help right away. Sometimes saving those high settings for better FPS can make a big difference!
Honestly, the significant upgrades like switching to an i7 or i9, or adding more RAM can get pricey. You won’t see much improvement from budget changes alone, so it depends on how far you're willing to go with your upgrades!
I get that—it’s frustrating! I just want to squeeze a bit more out without spending a lot.
To boost your performance, consider updating your motherboard's BIOS. Also, you might want to remove the 2x4GB RAM sticks for a cleaner setup. If you're up for it, selling your current i5 and getting a used i7 could be a smart move for a decent performance boost without breaking the bank.

But that's not a real fix! I'm hoping for actual upgrades here.
