I dabbled with Linux Mint for a few weeks and eventually went back to Windows 11. Now, I'm eager to give Linux another shot and have a couple of questions before I choose a new distro. I primarily game using Steam, and I also use Discord to stream my gameplay. I've heard that Roblox has an app for Linux that runs its mobile version, and Hytale has a native Linux launcher, but my main concern is with Steam. I'm not too worried about compatibility or anti-cheat systems since I also play on my PS5 Pro.
While I was using Mint, I faced some significant issues, especially with streaming on Discord; it was laggy and frustrating. I used the default Discord app, but it didn't perform well. I'd like to know if the native Discord app has improved or if there's a better alternative now.
Another problem I encountered was with applications minimizing to the taskbar, which occasionally got stuck or crashed, forcing me to restart them. Additionally, I really miss the tile snapping feature in Windows 11 for productivity purposes. Is that feature available now?
I have a decent understanding of computers but only limited experience with Linux. I'm willing to troubleshoot problems and would love to hear your suggestions for a suitable distro and if my issues have been resolved in recent builds.

You might want to check out CachyOS. It’s specifically optimized for gaming and comes with the necessary Nvidia drivers pre-installed. While it might not guarantee perfect performance, it's known for being one of the best options regarding gaming and stability, at least from what I've seen with AMD setups too.
I haven’t had any streaming issues with my setup, but I also don’t use Discord for that. I suggest looking into Fedora or Arch Linux this time. They tend to provide a better experience than Mint, which feels a bit outdated now.
Just a heads up, if you’re new to Linux, CachyOS might be an easier choice compared to Arch since it’s more user-friendly for installation.
