Is It Safe to Install Linux on My Lenovo Gaming Laptop?

I'm thinking about putting Linux on my Lenovo LOQ 3050 gaming laptop, but I'm concerned about potential driver issues and whether it might affect my warranty. I don't want to dual boot with Windows either. If I remove Windows entirely, will I encounter problems? Also, I plan to get an SSD for Windows later, but I'm not able to afford it right now.

You shouldn't have any major driver issues; most of them get automatically installed with Linux. As for your warranty, changing the software like this typically doesn't void it. Just keep in mind, games with kernel-level anti-cheat systems (like Fortnite) might not run smoothly since Linux restricts access to the kernel.

Actually, War Thunder works on Linux! Its anti-cheat isn’t kernel-level. You should double-check your facts.
