With RAM prices on the rise, I'm curious about the difference between two options: a 6000 MHz CL36 from Crucial and a 6000 MHz CL30 from Patriot Viper. The CL30 variant costs $50 more. Is that extra investment worthwhile, and what kind of performance boost can I expect?

I'm actually in a similar boat. I found some CL30 RAM for $180, while I plan to sell my CL36 sticks for around $250 on eBay. The new RAM looks great with my white setup, but I’m debating if it’s really worth the swap.
Honestly, I really don't think it's worth it to pay an extra $50 for the CL30. Most users probably won't notice a significant difference in performance with the lower latency RAM.
I agree, shelling out $50 more isn't justified. I ran some tests and saw that in games like PUBG, the performance gain is only about 7% at 1080p. In CS2, it’s less than 1%. Instead of getting the CL30, I’d suggest looking into upgrading your CPU or PSU for a better boost.
From what I’ve seen, for the majority of games, you’re looking at just a 1-2 fps difference based on some benchmarks. It's not worth it at all. Also, if you have the CL36 RAM, consider overclocking it to squeeze out more performance instead!

That’s a good plan, especially if it matches your build aesthetics! Just make sure the performance justifies the trade!
