Is This a Software or Hardware Issue with My New Setup?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my gaming setup and I'm feeling pretty let down. I now have an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Zotac Twin Edge, an i5-12400F processor, 16GB of 3200MHz Lexar RAM, an H610M-K DDR4 motherboard, and a 500GB NVMe SSD. However, I'm struggling with low FPS in lots of games—like The Last of Us 2, Alan Wake 2, Spider-Man 2, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance (2018), where my frame rates drop to between 17-45 FPS, particularly in certain areas of the games. I've watched benchmarks with similar setups and they're getting about 15-20 FPS more than I am. I even switched from an HDD to an SSD, enabled Resizable BAR in the BIOS, and tried various fixes, but it hasn't improved. I'm curious if this is a software issue or if there's something hardware related causing the performance drop—any insights?

It sounds like your 5060 Ti isn’t the issue itself; it’s more likely your other components. The RAM speed is decent but could be better, and the size of your SSD (500GB) might not be sufficient for storing many games. Also, make sure to check the read and write speeds of your SSD, as those can significantly impact FPS and stuttering. While your CPU is decent, there are certainly better options out there for pairing with that GPU, but it should still be adequate for gaming.

I totally get that! I’ve seen similar designs running with just a slight edge, but I noticed that their overall system performance often isn't just about the specs but also the optimizations.
