I just got my hands on an Apple Watch Series 6, but it's prompting me to update my iPhone to iOS 16 before I can pair it. Is there a workaround for this? I'm open to jailbreaking if necessary, but I really don't want to go through the hassle of updating to iOS 16.

From what I know, a lot of the AI features in iOS 16 are mostly for iPhone 14 and newer. If you're using an older model, you might not see those features at all.
What's wrong with updating to iOS 16? It's got a lot of new features!
Your best bet might be to go back to the Apple store and update your phone there. Otherwise, you could consider returning the watch if you're really not into those updates. Just keep in mind, if you're not into updating regularly, Apple might not be the best choice for you!

I just feel like there's too much AI and it comes with a bunch of bugs. Plus, they limit user control over devices.
