I've recently upgraded my CPU from a Ryzen 5 5600X to a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, and now I'm ready to upgrade my GPU. I'm looking for recommendations on which graphics card would be the best choice that won't cause a bottleneck with my CPU. I primarily play games at 1440p and want to ensure that I see a noticeable performance improvement based on the price I pay.

Since Nvidia prices are climbing, you might want to look at the 9070XT. It's priced similarly to the 5070 but offers better performance. Honestly, you don't need to look for anything above that.

If you're avoiding Nvidia on AM4, I suggest the 9060XT 16GB or 9070XT. They tend to have fewer CPU overhead issues than Nvidia cards on your platform.

What do you mean by CPU overhead issues? I prefer sticking with Nvidia if possible.

I recently switched from a 3070 to a 5070Ti and I’ve got no regrets! I’m hoping it lasts me for at least 5 years, especially with upcoming titles like Witcher 4 and the new Horizon game coming to PC.

What CPU are you using with the 5070Ti?

If you're looking at performance, I’d recommend considering the RX 5070, 9070, or even the 9070XT in that order. They offer ample VRAM for future gaming, even at 1440p. Just keep in mind that settings might need to be adjusted over time, especially with demanding features like ray tracing.

Can my CPU really handle a 5070? Also, what kind of performance boost can I expect compared to my 3070?

Yeah, your CPU should manage a 5070 just fine, but it's good to consider overhead issues with Nvidia cards.
