I recently encountered a bizarre situation where one of our IT staff members couldn't install or uninstall any software on her computer, despite being a Domain Admin with full permissions. Our manager dug into the problem and discovered that it was related to permissions for the C:WindowsTemp folder. We ran a PowerShell command to check the creation time of this folder and it returned Monday, April 1, 2024, across several computers in our system. Most of our computers are refurbished and we typically buy them from one vendor, while we have one outlier from another vendor. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any insights on what might be going on?

That creation date you’re seeing is likely when the Windows image was made. Every Windows 11 computer I've set up has the same timestamp for the Temp folder. It’s not unusual, just a side effect of the installation process from that vendor.
