Help Me Decide on Upgrading My GPU, CPU, and RAM!

Hey everyone! I've had my PC since 2019, and after seven years, I think it's time to give it a bit of a refresh. My current setup includes:

- **OS**: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
- **RAM**: 16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1066MHz
- **Motherboard**: MSI A320M-A PRO (AM4)
- **GPU**: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Gigabyte)

I'm considering upgrading to the Radeon RX 9060 XT Reaper 16GB for my GPU, switching to a Ryzen 7 5800X for my CPU, and bumping my RAM up to 32GB with CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4.

Does anyone know if these parts will be compatible with my current motherboard? And are they decent upgrades? Also, is there anything special to keep in mind when replacing these components? Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Your choices look solid! Just remember to update your motherboard's BIOS before swapping CPUs, and enabling XMP is essential once you add that new RAM. You'll be set to go!

If you’re considering AM5, check out Microcenter for bundle deals, especially if you can find an X3D bundle. Just keep in mind that DDR5 can get pricey!

True, but bundles can help save costs. Just weigh your options!

Definitely, but be prepared for the increase in overall upgrade costs!

I'd agree with the others, but just a heads-up: the A320 chipset is budget-oriented. You might find a used B450 for a good price, which can offer better performance. Don’t forget to update that BIOS, too!

Updating the BIOS before you change the CPU is crucial, and don't forget to invest in a good cooler for the Ryzen 7. It’ll help keep your system running smoothly!
