I've been hesitant to update my iPhone to iOS 26 because I heard so many people had issues with it. Finally, I updated to 26.2.1 thinking it would resolve the security concerns, but now I'm facing a major problem: I can't log into any of my financial accounts! The only one that still works fine is Chase Bank. I'm having issues with all others, both app and web versions. I've tried resetting my network settings, deleting and reinstalling apps, and even logging in without my VPN, but nothing seems to work. I really need to access these accounts to sort out my taxes, since my refund is crucial for my upcoming insurance payments. I'm not keen on doing a hard reset or messing too much with my phone setup. Is there anyone else experiencing this and do you have any clever fixes? My phone is a 12 Pro Max, and I also know this was a big problem during the beta phase. Why hasn't it been sorted out yet?

I get your frustration! But it sounds like you might have to bite the bullet and do some troubleshooting. Maybe access your accounts using a computer if you can borrow one, and keep checking back for app updates. Sometimes a temporary workaround is just to wait for the app developers to catch up with iOS updates. Good luck!
There is definitely no going back to iOS 18 security patch for your phone model. 26.2.1 is as good as it gets. It's curious that you’re having these issues with financial apps; I haven't had any problems since the beta was sorted out. If it’s specific apps acting up, that could be on their end not being optimized for the new iOS yet! Just keep an eye on app updates, and maybe clear your cache if you haven’t yet. It might help a bit!
I’ve had the same weird issues across devices with financial apps not working properly since the update. It's frustrating how they can take forever to catch up!
Sounds like you're dealing with some classic compatibility issues after the update. I upgraded to iOS 26, and I haven't had any problems, but a lot of banking apps tend to lag behind on updates due to security protocols. Have you tried reaching out to your specific banks' customer support? They might be able to provide some insight or at least confirm if they're aware of ongoing issues with the latest iOS.
Yeah, I tried that with my mortgage app, and they said they were working on it. It seems to be a common hiccup. Just keep an eye out for their updates!

Thanks! I’m borrowing a friend’s computer tonight to try and get my taxes sorted without messing with my phone too much. I appreciate the support!
