Hey folks! I'm dealing with persistent LiveKernelEvent 144 errors in my Reliability History, and it's specifically related to vgm.exe, which is Riot Vanguard. WinDbg suggests that it might be connected to usbxhci. Here's my setup: I have an MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi motherboard with the latest stable BIOS and an AMD 9800X3D CPU that I've undervolted by -20. Here's the catch: these errors only pop up when I'm playing Valorant. I haven't experienced any crashes, but my logs are getting cluttered with these messages. I've had one instance of severe system lag, but everything else runs smoothly outside of Valorant. I even benchmarked using OCCT and found no errors during memory, power, or CPU tests. I also tried reinstalling Windows, but the issue persists. Is this a common problem with driver conflicts between Vanguard and the X670E USB controller, or could it just be a harmless "false-positive"? Any insights would be super helpful, thanks!

This might just be Vanguard being overly sensitive, honestly. First off, check if TPM is enabled in TPM.MSC and your BIOS settings. If you have XMP or EXPO enabled, try disabling that and revert the memory to defaults. Also, consider disabling any overclocking—going back to BIOS defaults could help too. Make sure your BIOS and chipset drivers are all up to date.
To help troubleshoot further, add vgm.exe to your antivirus exclusion list and tweak the power settings for the X670E USB controller in Device Manager. Disable any power management features so the OS won't power down your devices. Trying different USB ports is also a smart move. Lastly, if you have any USB management apps like Razer Synapse, it might help to disable those before playing. Reinstall Riot Vanguard after fully uninstalling it as well.
I see where you’re coming from, but if you've stress-tested your EXPO and undervolt already, it seems odd that issues are only appearing in Vanguard. Given that your OCCT tests were clean for memory, power, and CPU, wouldn’t any instability show up in those tests or even when playing other games? It’s kind of puzzling that it only affects Valorant and usbxhci.
