I've been having a problem with a streaming site that keeps blocking my IP address, and they claim it's linked to 'Twitter bots.' This has happened repeatedly to the point where I switched to cellular data, but even that got blocked. I ended up using a VPN app, and I still got banned. I've previously subscribed, but this month they refunded me and said I was permanently banned from using their service. I genuinely have no idea what's going on. Is there a chance I could face legal trouble over this?

You might want to look into whether there’s an actual issue with your email or device. Sometimes, the email domain can play a role. If you haven't done it yet, change your password and enable multi-factor authentication for added security. It's also wise to check for any malware on your devices—Malwarebytes is a good tool for that. Who knows, you could even have a compromised router, so keep an eye on your network traffic too!
It's really unlikely they'll take any legal action against you. If they had solid grounds for that, you'd probably be more aware of it already. It's pretty typical for places to send out those warnings without having the backing to actually pursue anything. Just focus on moving on from their service and not stress about it too much!
But I've paid previously, and they sent my money back. They always seem to accuse me of having a bad IP. That's why I went for NordVPN when they first blocked me, thinking it would help.

What exactly is a botnet router? My router is from a proper internet provider. Am I legally at risk? And would any of this show up even when I use a VPN? I only use my phone for accessing this stuff.
