I'm part of the IT team, and my manager wants to install cable trays under the meeting room tables to provide laptop chargers during meetings. I'm not convinced this will work since there's hardly any space under the tables. If the trays are placed in the center, it'll be tricky for people to access the cables. I suggested just having a labeled box of chargers in each room, but my manager is set on the trays. Does anyone have better ideas for a charging solution?

Honestly, the best bet here might be to just keep a few chargers on the table and replace them when they inevitably go missing. Just be aware that there’s no perfect solution without retrofitting the tables or wires.
Make sure that whatever solution you come up with, you secure the chargers! If you just leave them out on the table, they'll likely go missing faster than you can keep track.
What if everyone just brings their own laptop charger to the meeting? Seems like the simplest answer to me!
That makes a lot of sense, but my manager said no to that option.
Agreed! It's practical and avoids the mess of multiple chargers.
If you can’t install outlets in the tables, maybe consider using portable power banks that people can use to charge their laptops during meetings. They won’t be as visually messy, and it’s a good backup plan.
I recommend installing power outlets in the middle of the table. Alternatively, you could have USB-C charging hubs, since they’re becoming more standard and fewer chargers would need to be replaced over time.
A multi USB-C outlet could power multiple devices. It’s definitely worth considering!

We tried that approach. Most were gone within a month. It might be better to go with something more secure.
