I'm looking to upgrade my PC, which currently has a Ryzen 5 3400g and an RX 570. I've been saving up to dive into a new build with DDR5 RAM, despite rising prices. Recently, I've noticed a lot of mixed reviews on modern Intel processors. I'm especially curious about the difference between the Intel Ultra 7 265k and the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, considering both for my gaming setup. I'm also considering the Intel Arc B580 for its 12 GB of VRAM. I plan to game at 1080p or 1440p, so I'd love to know your thoughts about these components and any advice you have!

For gaming, I'd advise you to think it through a bit. The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is an incredible gaming CPU and definitely outshines the Intel chip you're considering. But pairing it with a low-end GPU like the RX 570 isn't ideal since the GPU is crucial for gaming performance. I'd recommend sticking with your current motherboard and RAM, upgrade to a Ryzen 5000 series CPU, and then allocate more of your budget towards a better GPU.

I hear you! I haven't been following the market lately either. I've seen good things about AMD for gaming, but I've also caught whispers that next-gen Intel chips aren't performing as well. The Intel Arc B580 seems decent in terms of VRAM and speed, but is it really that limited? What’s your take on that?
