I'm really frustrated because I've tried everything to stop Chrome from automatically logging me into my Google accounts on my Android phone without needing a password. Even after logging out of all my accounts and clearing cache and data, I can still access my Google accounts in Chrome with just one click. I don't want to delete the accounts from my phone's settings because that would also remove them from apps like Google Photos and Gmail, and then they'd log me back into Chrome automatically. Is there a way to change this so that I have to enter a password every time I want to log in?

It sounds like you're facing an issue with Android's account management system. When you're logged into your phone, the other apps can authenticate using the account you have saved, which is why Chrome doesn't prompt for a password. Unfortunately, clearing Chrome's data won't resolve this because the authentication is at the system level. The only real way to force Chrome to require a password is to remove the Google account from your device or set up a work profile for added security. Essentially, Android assumes that if you unlocked your phone, it's really you using the apps. Hope that helps!
I totally get your struggle! The workaround you're looking for isn't straightforward; it's really about how Android handles logins. The account you don’t want to remove is tied to your phone, so as long as it's there, you won't be prompted for a password in Chrome. Unfortunately, your options are a bit limited if you want to keep everything synchronized. You could consider creating a separate user profile on the device, which might help with the password prompt issue. Just a thought!
