I'm experiencing issues with my laptop's RAM. It currently has 8GB of RAM, but it runs at around 90% usage when I have multiple Chrome tabs open. A friend gave me an extra RAM stick, but when I try to install it, my screen goes black while the power lights are on. Removing the new RAM lets everything work fine again. I've already tried a couple of things, like leaving it unplugged for a while and holding the power button with the battery removed. The new RAM is a Kingston 8GB 1Rx16 PC4-3200AA. Should this RAM be compatible with my laptop? Any ideas? Thanks!

Based on what you said, a Kingston DDR4-3200 SODIMM should work fine. However, if you're mixing RAM with your existing module, you might be setting yourself up for compatibility issues. It's often best to use RAM that's an exact match to what's already in your laptop or just replace the existing module completely. Mixing can lead to problems you might not want to deal with.
That's a bummer! When you get a chance, check what model your current RAM is. It could save you a lot of frustration!

Good point! I've faced similar issues before. It's safer to keep the RAM consistent unless you're ready to troubleshoot.
