I'm new to Linux, having switched from Windows to Mint about two months ago. I really miss how easy it was to enable HDR. I have an OLED HDR-compatible monitor (ASUS ROG Strix XG32UCWMG) that doesn't automatically detect HDR content and requires the OS to switch it to HDR mode. Unfortunately, from what I can tell, Mint doesn't support this yet.
I've done some research and found that KDE Plasma is focusing on HDR support, but I've also seen that many distros can run games in HDR if you use specific start commands.
I'm not very technical when it comes to HDR, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction—whether that means suggesting a distro or figuring out how to enable HDR in Linux if the distro isn't the issue. By the way, I have an RTX 4080 if that makes a difference.

For HDR support, you should consider using a distro that features KDE 6.x or GNOME 48+. They have better HDR capabilities. If you're leaning towards KDE, that's a solid choice!
