I'm a multi-media designer looking to transition into UX/UI design, and I'm wondering what kinds of projects or elements I should include in my portfolio to make it stand out. Any tips or suggestions?

For inspiration, check out my personal website at [https://www.martiserra.me/](https://www.martiserra.me/). I believe showcasing your projects and writing articles about your design decisions helps illustrate your thought process and what you learned along the way.

Make sure to showcase real projects you've worked on instead of just tutorials or courses. Employers want to see your actual design work! If you haven't had client projects, consider redesigning a poorly designed app or creating a case study to demonstrate your thought process and problem-solving skills.

What you include really depends on how you want to brand yourself in UX/UI. Focus on detailed case studies that demonstrate your research, wireframes, iterations, and conclusions. A well-structured portfolio that feels like good UX will impress employers. Here's a link to my portfolio as an example: https://ashishgogula.in.

Highlight your design thinking by showing your entire process, not just the finished product. Employers want to understand your problem-solving approach and the constraints you faced. Include metrics where possible, like improvements in user engagement. It's also a good idea to show a variety of project types, such as mobile or web, and live projects are far more impressive than mockups that never launched.

I’m also in the process of revamping my portfolio and plan to include: - My thought process and flow for previous projects. - Relevant blog posts. - A personal introduction to me and my design philosophy.
