I recently got a new phone and forgot my Apple ID password. After waiting a week, I successfully reset it and restored my iCloud backup, bringing back all my photos, texts, and passwords. However, when I tried to download apps, I found out my account was locked. After speaking with Apple support, they informed me that my Apple ID will be permanently deleted in 30 days without providing a clear reason. They suggested I back up my photos and write down my passwords. I'm really upset because I have 15 years' worth of text messages, including some with people who have passed away. What does this all mean?

You might want to ask Apple for a detailed review of your account to troubleshoot the issue further.
If your messages are still on your phone, go to settings, sign out of that Apple account, choose to keep your data when prompted, then log into a new account. This way, you can safeguard your text history while transferring it to a new iCloud.
I don't work for Apple, but I often see accounts removed due to fraud or malpractice concerns.
I've seen a lot about fraud too. My phone worked fine before the reset, but I couldn't use it for a week while waiting. Could that be related?
Locked accounts can sometimes happen due to suspicious activity. If your account is locked, you should not lose any data as long as you manage it right. You can sign out of your Apple account but choose the "keep" option for your data. Then, create a new account. You'll lose any purchases associated with the locked account, but your data should still be safe.
Just make sure you download everything to your device first. Don't leave any files optimized on the cloud!
Thanks! I don't have any purchases or subscriptions, so that helps. What about my saved passwords? Are they tied to the iCloud too?

I've already called Apple Support about five times with no resolution sadly.
