I'm considering whether I should upgrade my CPU right now. My current PC specs include an ASRock B650 hdv/m.2 motherboard, G.Skill Flare X5 32GB RAM, a Ryzen 5 7600 processor, an RX 7800 XT graphics card, and a BeQuiet power zone 2 850W power supply. I mainly game at 1440p and I'm wondering if upgrading to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D would be worth it. I primarily play esports titles, but also enjoy some AAA games. I initially thought about upgrading to the 9070 XT graphics card, but the price is too steep. I found that similar or better performance Nvidia cards are also quite expensive, so I can't afford a GPU upgrade at this moment. This leads me to consider the CPU upgrade, but I've seen concerns about the reliability of X3D CPUs, particularly the 9000 series, although there are a few concerning reports about 7000 series as well.

Upgrading to a new CPU probably won't give you much of a boost in gaming at 1440p with your RX 7800 XT. What are your GPU usage stats while gaming?

In games like Stalker 2, RDR2, and Cyberpunk, my GPU is usually at 100%. In League, it's pretty low, the fans don't even kick in.
