I've been having issues with my PS5 ever since I moved into my new place. When I plugged it in, I felt a small shock sometimes. Yesterday, it went straight into safe mode when I tried to use it. Every time I tried to navigate in safe mode and select an option, the screen would go black for a moment before returning to the 'connect your controller' prompt. I tried using a USB stick to reinstall the system, but then it just beeped twice, the light stayed on for about 15 seconds, and then powered off again. Any advice?

It sounds like the outlet might not be grounded properly. If you had a home inspection done, check the report for that info, but if not, the inspector might have missed it. It's crucial for safety and device performance!
Have you thought about using a single socket surge protector? It could help smooth out the power supply to your PS5. Also, do other electronic devices in your house have similar issues, or do they work fine?
I'm not sure why, but only four sockets in total, including one for a light, have stopped working downstairs.

That's interesting! Should I try plugging it in at a friend's house to see if it works there?
