I recently bought a pre-built PC, and while everything works perfectly, I'm having trouble controlling the fans—specifically their RGB lighting. I downloaded several software programs to help manage the fans, but none of them recognize them. I suspect the fans are connected directly to the power supply instead of the motherboard, which might be why I can't control them. Since I don't have any experience opening the case, I want to know how I can safely check the fan connections and possibly fix it myself. A video tutorial would be helpful if anyone knows of one.

Just to clarify, are you trying to control the fan speeds or just the RGB lights?
First off, make sure to power down your PC before you do anything. Once it's off, take some pictures of how your fan cables are connected. Look for where they lead – ideally, they should connect to the motherboard and not just the power supply.

I meant the RGB settings. Sorry for the confusion!
